Get the RentGPUPower app for your computer
Pick your system, run one line, log in — your GPU is earning. No terminal wizardry, no config.
Install
One command stages the RentGPUPower app + a double-click shortcut. It installs everything it needs for you.
Your RentGPUPower account. It detects your GPU(s) and lists them automatically.
Go online
One click. Earn while your GPU is idle — renters work in a sealed sandbox, run by Docker.
🔀 Three ways your machine can earn
You choose for each machine, in the app or on its page here, and you can change it any time:
- Both — recommended, and the default. People can rent the machine whole, like their own computer; while nobody does, it works for the cluster API — jobs and batches from many customers. It earns from both.
- Rentals only — one person at a time rents the whole machine by the hour.
- Cluster API only — it is never rented out on its own: it only takes work from the API, which spreads jobs over every machine in the network, paid per second.
Which work runs where is our job: the marketplace routes it, checks it is delivered, and pays you per second for what your machine does. The app shows what it is doing right now.
💸 How you get paid
Can this device earn?
Takes about a second. We ask your browser what graphics chip it has and run a small test on it. Nothing is installed and nothing is saved — the answer is just shown to you here.
1 · Choose your system
Step 1. Open PowerShell — press ⊞ Win, type PowerShell, hit Enter.
Step 2. Paste this and press Enter:
Installs to %USERPROFILE%\GPURENT and adds a “RentGPUPower Launcher” desktop shortcut — after that, just double-click it. Auto-installs Node.js for you if it’s missing.
The app then sets up Docker — the sealed sandbox renters’ code runs in — by itself: about a 600 MB download, one Windows permission prompt, and sometimes a restart.
Docker on macOS gives containers no access to any GPU, so no Mac — Apple Silicon or Intel, whatever its graphics — can rent out GPU time. Its processor can: the RentGPUPower app lists it as a CPU machine, renters get CPU-only environments (Ollama, PyTorch on cores), and it is priced by its cores. Honest numbers: usually single-digit cents an hour, far less than a graphics card earns. You also need Docker Desktop (or OrbStack) — the app installs it for you in one click.
Its graphics can earn as an AI model. Run Ollama or LM Studio on the Mac — they use its graphics — and add it in the app's AI devices on your network card: renters rent that model by the hour, in a chat or at an OpenAI-compatible address, and reach nothing else on the Mac. How it works →
A Mac is also great for renting someone else's GPU and running your account — both work in the browser with nothing to install.
Step 1. Open Terminal — press ⌘ Space, type Terminal, hit Return.
Step 2. Paste this and press Return:
Installs to ~/GPURENT and creates a double-clickable “RentGPUPower Launcher.command” in that folder. If Node.js is missing, the installer gets it for you (via Homebrew when you have it) — you don’t need to install anything first.
Step 1. Open a terminal.
Step 2. Paste this and press Enter:
Installs to ~/GPURENT and adds a “RentGPUPower Launcher” entry to your apps menu. If Node.js is missing, the installer gets it for you with your distro’s own package manager (apt, dnf, pacman…) — you don’t need to install anything first. It also sets up the sandbox: Docker Engine and, with an NVIDIA card, the NVIDIA container toolkit, asking for your password once (sudo). On a server with no desktop it prints the SSH tunnel that reaches the app’s page.
What happens next — the installer narrates 4 quick steps (5 on Linux): ① checks Node.js (installs it for you if it’s missing — on every system) → ② downloads the app (a few MB) → on Linux, sets up the Docker sandbox → ③ adds a shortcut → ④ opens the RentGPUPower app in your browser with your GPU already detected. Usually under a minute; you don’t need to do anything.
It keeps itself up to date. While it is open, the app installs each new version by itself — never during a rental — and every file is checked against its published fingerprint first. Prefer to choose? Untick Update automatically in its Settings.
📱 Install on iPhone & Android
RentGPUPower installs straight from your browser — no App Store needed. You get a real home-screen app (its own icon, fullscreen) to manage everything on the go: earnings, rentals, payouts, and notifications.

- Tap Add to Home screen (on some versions it is called Install).
Note: the mobile app manages your account; hosting a GPU runs on a computer with the actual card — use the Windows / macOS / Linux app above for that.
What you can do from the app
Install it on any number of machines and log into the same account — all their GPUs show up together.
Is it safe?
Renters run workloads on your machine — that’s the whole point of renting compute. The RentGPUPower app runs every job inside an isolated Docker container with GPU passthrough by default, so it can’t touch your files. If Docker isn’t installed, the app installs it for you in one click. Payment is escrowed and you’re paid for the uptime you deliver. Security model →
